Fox Theater

The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is one of the city’s most iconic venues. The theater was originally opened in 1929 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s been used for a variety of purposes over the years, from a movie theater to a live music venue, and has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment.

The Fox Theatre was built in 1929 and originally served as a movie theater. It was designed by architect John Eberson, who was known for his “atmospheric” theaters that sought to recreate the feeling of being outdoors. The Fox was one of his most elaborate designs, and it cost a whopping $4 million to build. The theater opened on December 25, 1929 with the film “Welcome Danger,” starring Harold Lloyd.

In the years since its opening, the Fox has undergone a number of changes. It was converted into a live music venue in the 1970s, and has since hosted some of the biggest names in the business, including Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, and Led Zeppelin. The theater was also used as a filming location for a number of movies, including “Driving Miss Daisy” and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”
