Brenau University Galleries

The Brenau University Galleries in Gainesville provides a space for artists to showcase their talent and for the public to enjoy. The gallery features a variety of artwork, from paintings to sculptures. It also hosts events such as artist talks and workshops. The Brenau University Galleries is a place where artists, curators and educators come together to share their work. 

Art Collections

The collections housed in the gallery include works by American artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Alfred Stieglitz, and Edward Hopper. Other notable artists represented in the collection are European masters such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The gallery also features a selection of Asian art, including pieces from China, Japan, and India.

In addition to the permanent collections, the Brenau University Galleries also host a variety of temporary exhibitions throughout the year. These exhibitions showcase the work of both emerging and established artists from around the world. The gallery also hosts educational programs and events that are open to the public.

Visit

The gallery is located in the Amy Ruth Stevens Center at 1100 Gordon Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30601. It is open Wednesday-Friday from 10am-5pm and is free. 

Brenau Galleries is now taking adult groups of five or more on guided tours for select exhibitions. Docent-led visits are intended to enhance museum goers’ experiences by providing enhanced viewing and educational opportunities. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance, and they are subject to availability.
